Under the Scheme for “National Level Optimization of surplus Generation Capacity” the portal provides an additional avenue to the stakeholders for optimal use of surplus power. The basic purpose of the portal is to facilitate the entities in availing the surplus power.
The entities are advised to go through the provisions of the scheme and transact accordingly. There is no price discovery mechanism on this National Portal.
The developers of the portal (CEA, GRID-India, NTPC) shall not be responsible for loss incurred if any due to the transactions done based on the portal and entities (CEA, GRID-India, NTPC) shall continue to be indemnified for loss incurred.
In case of any failure of Communication, Portal shutdown, Server down etc., RLDCs entitlement shall be the basis of commercial settlement.
